1/4teaspoononion powder
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
1tablespoonolive oil
1/4cuphoney
1/4cupSriracha sauce
1tablespoonapple cider vinegar
to tastesesame seeds and finely chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until you achieve a smooth, lump-free batter.
Take each cauliflower floret and dip it into the batter, ensuring that it is evenly coated. Place the battered florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the cauliflower in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the pieces turn a lovely golden color and develop a crispy texture.
While the cauliflower bakes, prepare the honey Sriracha sauce. In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, Sriracha sauce, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
Once the cauliflower has finished baking, remove it from the oven and transfer the hot florets to a large bowl. Pour the honey Sriracha sauce over the cauliflower and gently toss to ensure each piece is well-coated in the flavorful sauce.
Return the sauced cauliflower to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes. This will allow the sauce to caramelize and create a delightful sticky glaze on the bites.
After the second baking, remove the cauliflower bites from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes to enhance the flavor and texture before serving.
Notes
Arrange the bites on a platter and drizzle with extra sauce for added flavor.
